July 16-18 High Camp helped plan and execute a TNF footwear testing excursion near Downieville, CA.  Long time TNF athletes Peter Croft, Pete Athens, Kit Deslauriers and Hilaree O’Neill joined the group for a few days of activities.

For the second consecutive year, Protect Our Winters brought their Riders Alliance to Squaw Valley to learn from the best scientists, climate experts and other guest speakers to become greater warriors against climate change.

Autumn in the desert of Moab is nothing short of spectacular and the North Face Athlete Summit enjoyed the fine weather and activities.  High Camp organized and managed camp, scheduled guest speakers and lead small groups of athletes rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and running.

High Camp helped kick off the North Face sales meetings at Squaw Valley with an opening dinner celebration.  The dinner for 200 people featured a stage and runway for a fashion show featuring the latest and greatest TNF designs.

May, 2016, High camp had the pleasure of organizing and leading an overnight trip to Yosemite Valley with 140 North Face store managers and North Face Athletes. The two day trip was blessed with perfect weather and raging waterfalls, typical for this time of year in Yosemite Valley.

North Face Athletes Pete Athans and Kaitlyn Farrington joined High Camp for an Onboarding trip to beautiful Point Reyes, CA. Onboarding trips are the cultural introduction to The North Face, where people learn more about the company, colleagues, and the outdoors for which TNF makes products.

Athletes Pete Athans, Peter Croft and Rory Bosio joined High Camp for a backpacking trip to Half Dome, Yosemite National Park.  Half Dome, the classic must-do trip for The North Face employees, is one trip we gather for every year.

Another highly successful ski and snowboard trip to Kirkwood has just wrapped up with an incredible crew of The North Face associates riding on hard packed snow for 3 days.  The North Face continues to get everyone who wishes to be outdoors, outside.

High Camp organized Himalayan Night dinner for 400 people in Squaw Valley, CA. At the head of Olympic Valley, High Camp created a base camp with each tent hosting about 12 people. A Himalayan fare dinner was served and afterwards, on the big screen, we gathered for a series of rock climbing videos from 2014.

This was the 3rd annual Latin/Asian Fusion Yosemite gathering, where we brought 50 distributors together from Latin America and all over Asia to hike, rock climb, and explore. The first day was mellow. Everyone was due in camp around noon, and having arrived early I went climbing with friends on the Manure Pile.

While there are many outstanding hikes in and around the Bay Area, none quite compare with the diversity of the lush forests and open ocean of Bear Creek in Point Reyes State Park. A mixed group from many departments at The North Face met up early on Thursday morning for the 8-mile round-trip hike to the beach.  

Last spring, The North Face sportswear design team, along with athletes Peter Croft, and Hilaree O’Neill were diverted from an original plan of hiking the northern Lost Coast of California due to a temporary closure to the southern portion, a 25-mile loop with little information available, and plenty of Poison Oak.
