Point Reyes State Park

While there are many outstanding hikes in and around the Bay Area, none quite compare with the diversity of the lush forests and open ocean of Bear Creek in Point Reyes State Park.  A mixed group from many departments at The North Face met up early on Thursday morning for the 8-mile round-trip hike to the beach.  A few expressed their concern about “never” hiking and if they could make the venture, but after a few minutes up the trail, the chatter began as people who work in the same office every day got to know each other and their respective roles at TNF.

“A perfect day at the office.  It’s why I work here”

When we arrived at the beach, everyone looked up as if to say, “Already?”  After a hang in the sand, we crossed back over the low pass through the forest back to the trailhead.  To top the day off, we gathered down the road for BBQ’d oysters before all departed.
